THE PROPER FIT FACTOR

You may have never experienced properly fitting footwear; it may be that Mephisto will fit differently than any shoe you have ever worn. This is a common experience and it should be noted that proper fit is critical to comfort. With walking, it is important to give your toes a substantial degree of freedom. They should never be “locked in”, one against another. Mephisto shoes should provide plenty of room in the toe area. The same thinking applies to your heel. The Mephisto heel is not designed to fit snug. A comfortable walking shoe will flex and bend with your foot. Your foot should be cradled, not bound. A properly fitting shoe should not have to be “broken in” to be comfortable…they should be comfortable from the very first step you take.

Sizing

Sizing can vary from style to style which means you may not wear the same size in all your shoes. Also, our sandals are available in full sizes only. If you are normally a half size in a Mephisto shoe, you should size up to the next size. Below are some size conversion charts which offer general guidelines for converting your size to another scale.

The Greg Blue is very sturdy so it took me an about a month to really break them in. Now they are very comfortable and a very good walking show. They look great.

Pricing Policy

Our Original prices are based on a number of factors, including cost, profit margin, expected demand, inventory levels, competition, and promotional activity such as sales and coupons. These prices are our own offering prices, meaning we have offered the merchandise in our stores or on mephistousa.com at those prices, though we may not have sold items at that price. The savings we show from these prices may not be based on actual sales of the items at the higher price. Some Original prices may not have been in effect during the past 90 days, and intermediate markdowns may have been taken. Limited quantities available while supplies last. Placing items in your cart does not reserve them; pricing and availability are subject to change until checkout is complete.
